Peter Gabriel in concert in Bregenz, June 12th 2004 on the edge of Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Austria.
Intermittent thunder, lightening and bouncing rain. The last drops came down 10 minutes before the performance as the sun was setting. Peter's starting to look like a favourite old grandfather now - but the magic's still there.
The venue-plan looks like a much bigger setting when you book, that coupled with the fact that they weren't using the normal stage meant that we could touch the stage - I was expecting to be further back. This is why you don't get the benefit of the lightshow in the pics - but on the other hand... Talking of the pics I'm quite impressed by the way they turned out. The last few pics were taken when we were standing - the view was totally different!
I didn't have my big 'weapon' (Sony DSC-F828) only my old compact digital Sony DSC-P5, but setting to indoor lighting, 400 ASA and cancelling the flash apparently fixed the speed to a shaky 1/30th second or better - usually overexposing - surprisingly 50% of the pictures turned out not too bad...
